Today marks the 69th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp and is a Holocaust Remembrance Day.
In marking this day I will start reading the following two books that relate to Auschwitz, one non-fiction and one fiction.
Worlds Torn Asunder - A Holocaust Survivor's Memoir of Hope and Resilience by Dov Beril Edelstein: Edelstein was Auschwitz inmate #A7868, managing to survive while losing his parents, grandparents and brothers.
The Auschwitz Escape by Joel C. Rosenberg: A historical-fiction account following Jacob Weisz from the underground resistance to finding himself crowded in a train car, destination Auschwitz. Can Jacob escape Auschwitz and alert the world to what is happening under the Nazi regime? This book is available for pre-order with a publication date of March 18, 2014. I have received an advanced copy from Tyndale House Publishers, Inc. through Edelweiss.
Do you have any plans to start a book regarding Auschwitz or any aspect of WWII today?
