I'm going to try and participate in a few of the Thursday Thoughts topics posted by Ok, Let's Read.
This week's topic is Book Buying Bans. Have you ever put yourself on a book buying ban? Do you believe that book buying bans actually can make a difference? At what point do you decide that it's really time to put yourself on a book buying ban? [As described by Ok, Let's Read]
I think forbidding yourself from something makes it all that more tempting. So moderation and restraint are a better idea. I have been known to restrain from visiting the bookstore, so as to not get tempted by all the shiny new covers. This doesn't help internet browsing, but I am not as tempted on the internet. I can wishlist item or add to ereaderiq to pricewatch. I always feel compelled to leave the bookstore with something.
