I have more books on tap for this month, then I should. The chances of getting snowed in for two weeks is not likely either. So good thing sleep is over-rated.
So what exactly are my plans for the month, since the list is long I will post after the read more jump.
- The Stockholm Octavo by Karen Engelmann (1/30/14)
- The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis (1/8/14)
- Prince Caspian: The Return to Narnia by C.S. Lewis (1/18/14)
- The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C.S. Lewis (2/9/14)
- The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum (1/26/14)
- The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald (1/10/14)
- Emil and the Detectives by Erich Kastner (1/2/14)
- Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys (1/24/14)
Additional new books wanting to start in January that I had planned for December but didn't get to:
- The Witch in the Wood by T.H. White
- The Ill-Made Knight by T.H. White
- Rilla of Ingleside by L.M. Montgomery
- Hanns and Rudolf: The True Story of the German Jew Who Tracked Down and Caught the Kommandant of Auschwitz by Thomas Harding
- The Ghost Bride by Yangsze Choo
- Fever by Mary Beth Keane
I've started and would like to finish in January:
- Eugene Onegin by Alexander Pushkin (2/7/14)
- The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
- The Sword in the Stone by T.H. White
- War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy
I think this about sums up the bulk of my plans for the month. I know I have a few other books I was planning for this month that have come in (or will) from the library and other I absently spaced on while typing this up. Yikes, this appears to call for a clip of a book every two days, thankfully most of these are short reads.
