I have listed some of the books below that have been hanging out the longest on my currently reading pile. My hopes are to clean these off the list, moving them to the read pile so they don't find themselves still being currently read in 2015! They are on the fringe of anyone sane being able to still call them being currently read.
Criteria used for choosing books: have you been hanging around the list for over six months? 9 met this condition, select "read more" to see the list.
The Search for WondLa (WondLa #1) by Tony DiTerlizzi: Eva Nine, a twelve-year-old girl has been raised underground by a robot; suddenly she must flee above ground. Can she find any other humans like her in this new above ground world? (Completed 6/17/14)

Dombey and Son by Charles Dickens: Yes, another Dickens I have started and failed to wrap-up. This novel explores the life of a man imprisoned by his own pride and his dysfunctional family.
Middlemarch: A Study of Provincial Life by George Eliot: As the title tells us, this tale follows a few people in their provincial life. We have a scholar, idealist, spendthrift, a doctor, and a religious hypocrite hiding his past to lead the cast of characters.
West with the Night by Beryl Markham: A memoir of Beryl Markham's life, she was raised in Kenya. She learned to be a bush pilot and in 1936 accepted a challenge to fly solo across the Atlantic.
