The Latin name Narcissus for daffodil may come from the Greek myth about Narcissus, the hunter who found his own beauty so mesmerizing he died admiring himself. The flowers that bloom in the spring along the river banks are said to be from him, being how graceful, beautiful and fragile they are.
The daffodil, said to represent chivalry, respect, modesty and faithfulness is the birth flower for March.

February Well, the last portion of the month did not pan out well for my reading and posting plans. Daily life sometimes gets in the way of the best intentions. I managed to only complete seven books, stay caught up with one and fail to catch up miserably on the others. Always tomorrow? Separate post to come with covers of the books completed and links to the reviews that I have written, so far, I have more to finish on this front as well. Well, from what I can remember, to the right is my list for March. I likely have forgotten a read or two as my mind does until I start to really sit down and map out my plans and go back through notes and post to see what crazy ideas I wanted to join. I always find myself agreeing to others along the way and finding room to sacrifice among the already planned. I would like to squeeze in some more classics from my 50 in 5 list, read some WWI history and start one of the books from my official History challenge list this month as well. There is still plenty of time to join the Odyssey read along. Click image above to be taken to sign-up post with the schedule. | March New read along:
