Just my luck, The Classics Club is doing another one of their Classics Spins. I am seriously booked, but need to keep chipping away at my original 50 in 5 list.
Guidelines are easy, post a list of twenty books left to read from your master list, number them from 1-20. On Monday, May 12th a number will be posted. Read the book found on your list for that number by July 7th.
In order to still participate I decide to go through my list and select books under 400 pages, I randomized them twice because some books needed to be listed twice to fill-out the list of 20.
Here is my list of twenty:
- Mr. Midshipman Easy by Frederick Marryat (1834)
- The Mayor of Casterbridge by Thomas Hardy (1886)
- The Turn of the Screw by Henry James (1898)
- The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain (1884)
- The Black Tulip by Alexandre Dumas (1850)
- Silas Marner by George Eliot (1861)
- Utopia by Thomas More (1516)
- The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde (1890)
- Common Sense by Thomas Paine (1776)
- Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe (1719)
- The Time Machine by H.G. Wells (1895)
- The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling (1894)
- The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne (1850)
- Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift (1726)
